Trade Associations

Trade Associations are funded by businesses that operate in a specific industry, and many operate on a not-for-profit basis.  Their activities are focused around enhancing the profile of their industry sector, and include influencing policy debates, driving innovation, and provision of supply chain and business development support (often with a focus on SMEs).

ADS is the Premier Trade Organisation for companies in the UK Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space Sectors. Membership is made up of over 1000 UK registered businesses. ADS activities are focused around the following key areas:

Farnborough Aerospace Consortium

Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC) is a not-for-profit trade association acting as a facilitator of business between large global primes and the supply chain and as an enabler of business support to its members and partners. It is one of the most established aerospace and defence associations in the UK, providing support to, and furthering the long-term strategic growth of the sector in the South East.

West of England Aerospace Consortium

The West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF) is a membership trade organisation that champions and supports the interests of the aerospace and defence industry in the South West of England. Our member and partner base represent a very wide spectrum – from SMEs to global corporations.

As one of the largest aerospace and defence associations in Europe, we are able to provide a strong voice for our members, as well as representation and access to prominent regional, national and international decision makers in industry and government.

North West Aerospace Alliance

The North West Aerospace Alliance (NWAA) is the key industry organisation in the region, representing and uniting companies and organisations involved in the aerospace sector supply chain. The NWAA is responsible for shaping the industry through strategic thinking and delivery, by driving innovation and providing supply chain excellence and other business support programmes.

The NWAA achieve this through working with key stakeholders within the industry to develop products, services and supply chain development programmes that will shape the industry for the future.
